Lomatalo Handzame ★★
A Sat Nav is an essential requirement when travelling through Belgium. This accommodation is very rural which is exactly what we wanted taking a large dog with us, the local village is about 1mile away, and the local people are very warm, pleasant and accommodating. You have to travel for your shopping but there is a couple of Deli's, Bread shop, small butchers, 4 bars and a church in the village. We were greeted with a very warm welcome at the house by the owners, who during our stay could never do enough for us, but never in your face. The place is equipped with everything you would require for a very pleasant stay, washer/dryer etc and a huge log fire (and they provide all the logs you need). The sleeping arrangement is weird and wonderful, bed1 sleeps 4,,, bed2 sleeps 2 and there is a bed on the landing which is fantastic and not as daft as it sounds. It is a great central starting point for all major cities. We went with my son his wife and a very large dog and we ALL agreed it ticked all our boxes and it was a great weeks holiday.. I would not recommend this property for anyone who has physical problems as the stairs are very steep but apart from that I would recommend this to anyone, but as I said before sat nav in Belgium is essential. We also found the whole of Belgium very dog friendly.
What a great cottage, it started of brilliantly. As we were a bit lategatting there, there was a nice welcomed me note outside and the door unlocked with the heating on. Really clean accommodation friendly family run cottage. They even made room in the garage for us to park the motorbikes. Highly recommended
